About project
The client is a rapidly growing technology company aimed to close the gap between brokers, syndicates and funding companies. The platform developed provides syndication opportunities for investors who otherwise are not close enough to cash advance funding companies. Syndication is quite similar to crowd funding, but within the Merchant Cash Advance industry. Through technology and relationships built on 20 years of experience, the platform brings together brokers, syndicates and funding companies.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will act as a Product Owner on the Client side working with the remote development team. In this role, they will work with local business stakeholders on the one side, and a team of software engineers on the other, on development and maintenance of the software product utilizing dotnet core, Typescript, Next.js, Redux + Thunk (middleware), router, Material-UI, Chart.js, Lerna, JWT tokens technologies.
Product Owner role:
- Work with business stakeholders and a global cross-functional development team that consist of several developers, QAs and Business Analysts;
- Utilize and enforce Agile methodology in development and support of the product and facilitate use of the methodology across stakeholders and team;
- Assist with product requirements, story creation, backlog refinement and prioritizing the requirements for the team to meet the Sprint goal;
- Manage planning, coordination, development, execution, and delivery of projects;
- Collaborate with offshore and onsite teams to streamline the work processes effectively;
- Monitor and track the development activity and team’s progress of the objectives closely;
- Communicate the project status and any potential issues/risks to the stakeholders and proactively collaborate to ensure timely resolution;
- Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to prioritize the business initiatives;
- Remove blockers/impediments to drive increased team deliverables and escalated issues to mitigate any risks.;
- Build a long term strategic plan by working with stakeholders and engineer leads to ensure business goals are met and deliver
Requirements
- Experience in leading of product development or support team
- Great communication skills in English
- 5+ years of successful experience in a similar position
- Be prepared for a hybrid work format. Office is in the New York city
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
